Sardine Pâté - receita III

Sardine Pâté Ingredients
3.5 oz can of skinless, boneless sardines in olive oil 1 tablespoon of butter 3 tablespoons of fresh cilantro, finely chopped Juice of half a large lemon Pinch of turmeric Pinch of cayenne pepper (or freshly ground black pepper if you prefer) Salt to taste
Instructions (Couldn't be easier ...) Empty the contents of the can of sardines, including the olive oil into a medium sized bowl, add all the other ingredients and mash together with a large fork until you reach your desired consistency. Spoon on to hot buttered toast for a nutritious lunch or if you are entertaining, or want a more formal appetizer you could use a food processor for a more creamy emulsion. Serve in a ramekin, decorated with cilantro leaves with toasted pita bread triangles or crostini.
